Sixteen FBLA members from Weldon Valley High School had the exciting opportunity to attend and compete at the 2025 FBLA State Leadership Conference, held at the Gaylord Rockies from April 21–23, 2025. Throughout the three-day event, students engaged in networking with peers from across the state, connected with business professionals, showcased their talents and skills, and strengthened their leadership abilities within their schools and communities. The conference also featured a variety of educational workshops and opportunities for community service involvement. Congratulations to: Kyra Keating & Skylar Scott – 1st place in Digital Animation Scarlette Thomas-Groves – 4th place in Organizational Leadership Leila Groves – 9th place in Introduction to Parliamentary Procedures A huge thank you to Justin & Lacey Starner for chaperoning the trip. We also deeply appreciate the support of the Weldon Valley PTO and Booster Club for their generous donation, which helped cover student meals. Additionally, a heartfelt thank you to our staff and community members who purchased t-shirts to support the event. -- Christine Smith Secondary Business Spanish/FBLA Adviser

Weldon Valley is returning to Washington, DC. Our next domestic trip will be the summer of 2027 as we head back to our nation's capitol to tour the monuments and historic places in and around Washington DC. This is a great opportunity for students to learn about our nation and it's fantastic history. We'll start by visiting the Williamsburg area along with Jamestowne and Yorktown. This trip will also include visits to the homes of Presidents Washington and Jefferson. Naturally we'll be seeing the major attractions in DC as well as visiting Ford's Theater. If you have any questions reach out to me at mschmeeckle@weldonvalley.org Here is a detailed itinerary of our trip along with information concerning enrollment. Early enrollment discounts apply, so now is the time to invest in this opportunity https://secure.passports.com/document/2453C9C9A0DA/.

Happy National Administrative Professionals Day to the two incredible ladies who are truly the heart of our school! Your tireless dedication, sharp organization, and constant support keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes (and often front and center too!). From managing everything with grace to being the friendly faces everyone can count on, you do it all—and then some. Thank you for being the steady hands and caring hearts that hold us all together. We appreciate you more than words can say!
