After reading the short story, "Fish Cheeks" by Amy Tan, Ms. Payne's 7th and 8th graders created their own form of symbolism out of Play-Doh.

World Classrooms has informed me that they were able to secure tickets for Holocaust Memorial, Mt Vernon Mansion Tour, and the Red Coat Capitol Tour. These additional tours were requested by me several months ago and they have upgraded the trip with no additional charges. Can't wait for this unbelievable trip!!!

A couple of schedule changes coming up for the high school baseball team.  We have moved the game this Friday to 10 am.  Weather reports have shown rain is expected in the afternoon, so we are hoping to be able to play the games before the rain comes. We were able to reschedule the Longmont Christian game for Friday. April 21st at 1 pm.  This will be a single game.  And, just a reminder that we have the game with Denver Academy set for Monday, April 24th at 2 pm.  This will be a double header.  Thanks

Six members of Weldon Valley’s FBLA recently attended the FBLA State Leadership Conference in Aurora, Colorado. The three-day conference provided members with various educational workshops, they networked with other members and had a great time at Gaylord Rockies Resort. We are very proud of all members for making it to the FBLA State Leadership Conference. Please help me congratulate the following members who were recognized for placing in the top 10 in their event: Courtney McFarland placed 5th in Accounting I and Dane Johnston placed 9th in Agribusiness. Courtney and Dane have the possibility to attend the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Atlanta this summer.
