Parents! Tomorrow is Halloween, Mr. Bauman asks that no students wear costumes to school tomorrow, but pack them in their backpacks instead! Teachers will let the student's know when it is time to change! There will be a Halloween parade at 2:45 in the gym!
First Quarter Awards for Elementary will be on Tuesday, November 5th at 8:00 am. We will be presenting awards for perfect attendance for grades K-6 and honor roll for grades 3-6.

Congratulations for placing in the top 10 to Josh Wells and Zander Braun in Plant Science division of the FFA Agriscience Competition at the National FFA Convention. This is the first time that our chapter made it to the National level for competition.

In the beginning of October, 11 WV FFA members attended the two-day FFA Fall Leadership Conference at CSU in Fort Collins. Members participated in sessions and workshops that promoted leadership and team building skills.

On Thursday, October 10th, Weldon Valley students attended the Grow Her conference which focused on careers in Agriculture. This conference was held at Morgan Community College.
On Saturday the 12th of October, FFA members visited Pope's Farm. They enjoyed all the different activities as well as the haunted corn maze.

Good Morning,Neenan has let me know that they expect a higher volume of construction traffic over the next two days. With the football games today and tomorrow, this means that we must be diligent in only parking in the handicapped areas. We understand that the walk to the field can be difficult, so we will have two different Polaris Rangers to give people rides to and from the fields. We ask that if a ride is needed, please park at the preschool after 3:30 or in the overflow lot by the school. We can put chairs in the back of the Rangers and drop off at the field. After the game, we will be making trips from the field to the front of the school or back to cars. We know that this is an inconvenience, but we are trying to provide additional resources to make the games easy and enjoyable for all of our fans. Wednesday some of our junior high and high school students are attending the Blue Horizons Writer's Seminar at MCC. Professor Todd Mitchell from CSU is giving our students some great advice about character development.
