We are studying music in preschool. Carolyn Hochanadel, our speech therapist, brought in her violin for us to see, hear, and touch. We learned that the violin is made of wood and the strings are made of metal. We learned that it could be muted so it wasn't as loud. She shared her sheet music with us and brought in her music stand. We sang the abc's while she played it on her violin!! Thank you Carolyn!!

Elementary Students please be at the school no late than 6:45pm tonight for the Christmas Concert! Show starts at 7pm! Also, don't forget about the senior dinner starting at 5pm tonight! Tickets may be purchased at the door, $10 per meal.

Its a Holly Volley Christmas in the Valley! Students will be collecting items for Christmas donations. Elementary will be collecting QUARTERS for Rising-Up, while the Secondary students will be collecting non-perishable food items, along with gently used toys! The top collecting classes will go head to head in a volley ball game- the winner of that game will get to battle it on the court against STAFF, on the afternoon of Dec 16th! Please help your students gather these items between now and December 14th!

As you may have already heard, some cancerous spots were found at Luke's last check up.
The good news is we are still having a Christmas concert! The students need to be in the gym at 6:45. The concert will begin at 7:00. WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING EVERYONE THERE!

Hello Warrior Family!
This message is to inform you that due to staff shortages there will be no school tomorrow Tuesday, November 23rd. This will give an extra day for Thanksgiving Break. We apologize for the late notice, but we wanted to inform you as soon as possible.
Everyone have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

The Junior High Basketball games at Prairie have been moved to January 5th. There are no games tomorrow, I apologize for the confusion.

More photos of our Thanksgiving celebration sponsored by WV Student Council members.

The Weldon Valley Student Council sponsored the annual community Thanksgiving meal in honor of our brave veterans. Community members and veterans were welcomed to the school today to join our students in a Thanksgiving feast, prepared by our awesome cooks. Student Council members served the meal to several visitors. Vice President, Billy Alloway, honored our veterans with a speech as well as a moment of silence in recognition of lost friends and relatives. Student Council members then presented our local veterans with a token of appreciation for their service. It was nice to be able to visit with friends with a celebratory meal.

We have also moved the Junior High game at Prairie from next Monday to January 5th at 4pm.

The Junior High basketball games will begin at 4 tomorrow. We will play C girls running clock for 15 minutes, B girls and A girls. We will then play A boys and a 15 minute running clock B boys game

I just received a text that the Briggsdale boys only have 7 players for today's game. We will be playing Girls B then A. Boys A will play and we will do a scrimmage type half with our B boys. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Just a reminder that Junior High basketball will be played at Briggsdale tomorrow beginning at 4. Bus will leave at 2:40. Order will be Girls B, Boys B, Girls A and Boys A

Faith ~ Courage ~ HOPE ~ Strength
We will be selling pink bracelets to our students to support Ms. Payne in her fight with breast cancer. Student's can purchase their bracelets in the library, starting today, with Mrs. Johnson for $1 each! All proceeds will be given to Ms. Payne to help where ever she needs it!

CONGRATULATIONS to the High School and Junior High Knowledge Bowl Teams for an awesome job at the Akron Invitational Meet.
We took two teams from the high school, and our "A" team won second place overall at the meet. The team started off in first place after the written round of questions. They managed to hold the lead until the final round, when Haxtun moved ahead of Weldon Valley. Haxtun won the meet, beating WV by only one point. Our B Team did a great job as well, answering several difficult questions.
The Junior High Team also won second in the meet, losing by a few points to Wray Junior High. Way to go WARRIORS!

For those of you watching, the Wiley livestream went down. Our lady Warriors just defeated Cheyenne Wells in 4. 25-12 was the score of the 4th set. They are working on the issue and will hopefully have things up and running before our match with Wiley.
