K-2nd grade celebrated the 100th day of school on Thursday. The students spent the day searching for 100 pictures of Mr. Bauman and Mr. Edson hidden throughout the school, reading and writing 100 words, counting to 100 in many different ways, going on a scavenger hunt, eating delicious celebration cookies, a visit from a 100 year old car, learning about 1925, and how many licks to the center of a tootsie pop. It was a great day celebrating 100 days of learning.

Our 6th Grade students participated in the Bi-County Science Fair. It was a lot of hard work, and to say I'm proud of these students is an understatement. We took home lots of prizes and second place ribbons. Congratulations to Kipton for taking a 1st place!

Here is the information for the boys and girls basketball tournament games next week. The girls will play at 12:30 on Monday at NJC vs Bethune and at 11:00 am at Wally Post gym at Sterling High School on Friday and Saturday.
The Boys will play at 12:30 on Tuesday at NJC vs Hi Plains and 12:30 on both Friday and Saturday in Wally Post at Sterling High School. Here is the link for the entire tournament.

Happy FFA week! On February 19th, FFA members & officers prepared lunch for the Staff Appreciation Luncheon. The staff enjoyed hamburgers, hotdogs, sides, & dessert in the AG Ed shop. The luncheon was a simple way for the FFA chapter to show their appreciation to the staff!
Happy FFA Week! The 8th graders attended 8th Grade Orientation February 18th. FFA officers & members presented to the 8th graders all about the Ag Ed program. The 8th graders also participated in a team scavenger hunt & team project which both incorporate leadership skills.

Please join the FFA Chapter on March 20th for the FFA Hired Hand Event. Hire a FFA member for 8 hours to help out with farm chores, house chores, or landscaping. Dinner starts at 6 pm and the auction will start at 7 pm. Please see the flyer for details.
The Junior High Dance will be on February 22nd from 7 - 9 pm. The dance is open to 6th - 8th graders. Parents you are welcome to bring snacks to share amongst the kids. Drinks and Good Music will be provided!
Time is running out to enroll in our 2025 summer trip to Boston. Enrollments close on February 20th, so if you are considering this trip you must sign up now. We'll be visiting locations such as Salem and historic Plymouth Plantation. JFK's Presidential Museum as well as Concord and Lexington Battlefields will be highlighted as 2025 is the 250th anniversary of the beginning of the American Revolution. This Thursday at 4pm is donut pick up day! Please be prepared to pick up your entire donut order to go deliver to your friends! The sooner the better, as these donuts are fabulous fresh!
