We will play to honor one of our own- Ms. Lisa Payne, who has fought and continues to WIN her battle with Breast Cancer! Varsity Football starts at 3:00pm and Volleyball at 5:30pm. See you there!

Hello Weldon Valley Seniors-
Don't forget: It's FREE College Application Days! Today and tomorrow, you are able to apply for FREE to any university in Colorado. (Information was emailed out yesterday).
Also, PLEASE do not forget to order your caps and gowns. Information packets were given to all seniors on Tuesday, September 20. The first deadline (October 15th) has passed, so please get those in ASAP!! You can go to www.jostens.com to order.

Congratulations to our Junior High - B Team - Lady Warriors, who not only have an undefeated season, but also brought home the Championship Trophy this weekend from the League Tournament. Way to go Warriors! So proud of you!!!

Thank you Wiggins Fire Department for visiting Preschool, Kindergarten,1st and 2nd. Students enjoyed the fire safety lesson and exploring the fire truck .





Just a reminder! The PTO donation-fundraiser is due back on Monday! The students have an opportunity to earn some great prizes, plus raise money for our school! Please be sure your student brings their packet and gives it to their teacher Monday morning!

Please come & shop at the WV Craft & Vendor Market next Saturday on October 22nd starting at 8:30 am. There will be over 45 vendors. Come & shop for early Christmas presents! Free admission!


WVS High Schoolers and Parents-
Please join us tomorrow night at 5:30 pm for a FAFSA presentation by Janell Sutter, MCC Financial Aide Advisor. Janell has a wealth of knowledge about applying for FAFSA and ways to make it easy and simple. This is a great presentation for any student and their parents/guardians who may be thinking about pursuing a post-secondary education whether it be a trade school, junior college, or university. Location TBD, but look for signs by the counseling office for more details.

Are you ready to travel to the UK and France? Next Tuesday, the 11th, we will have a parent/student meeting in my classroom starting at 4:30, right before the start of conferences. A big thank you to Paul Oliveira for presenting the history, safety, and archery exposure to Ms. Payne’s 8th grade reading class. Students finished the novel “Brian’s Winter” by Gary Paulsen, which is a story about a teenager who survives the Canadian Wilderness with a hatchet and bow and arrow set. It was great to have this opportunity at Weldon Valley.



Unfortunately Dustin Price had something come up this afternoon so we have had to move fall sports pictures to Monday
