Due to the significant winter storm starting this evening, Weldon Valley School will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, January 18, 2023. Snowfall amounts of 7 to 13 inches are expected tonight through tomorrow with wind gusts to 35 mph. Please stay safe.

As of right now we plan on playing at Lone Start tomorrow. The bus will leave at 1:30. JH Girls play at 3:30 and boys follow. The Junior High athletes will ride the bus home with Coach Davis following their games and should return home around 7pm. If there are any changes tomorrow, I will send out information as soon as I have it. We have moved the Junior High Games on Wednesday to next week on Wednesday the 25th at Peetz at 4:00 pm. Thank You
The Junior High Bus will leave at 9:15 tomorrow, the high school bus will leave at 1:00. At the end of the Junior High games, they will return to the school at approx. 4:00 pm, they will not stay for the high school game unless it is with a parent. Also, we have added 2 quarters of a JV boys game tomorrow with Briggsdale. The JV Boys will play at 3 with Varsity Girls to start at approx. 3:45. High School Boys will follow.

Good Morning. I wanted to fill everyone in with a few schedule changes we have made for high school and junior high basketball over the next couple of weeks. With the weather that moved in before Christmas we have had to shuffle a few things around to complete the schedules. We have added a game on Tuesday Jan. 17th @ Lone Star. JH A teams will play beginning at 3:30 and high school to follow. We play JH @ Peetz on Wednesday, Jan. 18th. C,B, A girls and B, A boys beginning at 4:00. We have also taken Front Range Baptist on Friday 1/20 off the high school schedule. Please let me know if you have any questions

Due to the cold weather yesterday, we had to reschedule the company to resurface the gym floor. They will be coming on Tuesday, Dec. 27th. We have to stay off the floor for a couple days after the work is done. We are moving the youth skills camp to Friday, December 30th from 9-12. It will be that day only. We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!

Thank you for you generous support of our Quarters for Quarters competition. As a school we raised $491.50 for Rising Up. Today the third grade class, the class that raised the most money per student in the school (30 quarters per student), presented the check to Rising Up.

Tomorrow is Ugly Sweater Day for Wacky Wednesday! Secondary will continue with 6th & 7th hour finals in the morning and holiday festivities will take place in the afternoon! Preschool will be in the cafeteria for a Christmas party at 1:00, Secondary will be in the gym starting at 12:40, and Elementary to follow at 2:15!
