Today Kindergarten, First, and Second grades were provided with the opportunity to visit Christensen Ranch. We have been working on Farm to Table as a unit of study. Kathy Wood helped to increase our knowledge of agriculture and the Christensen Ranch operation. Christensen Ranch also provided each of the students with a package of beef snack sticks. Thank you very much Kathy and Christensen Ranch for having us at your ranch and for the snack sticks.
Basketball games today starting at 3:30 pm with Junior High followed by High School. Concession stand meal tonight will be Lasagna soup,
breadsticks, and
chocolate mousse brownies.

Weldon Valley will have a 2 hour delay start tomorrow, January 16th. Busses will be on route, just 2 hours past regular pick up times. The first bell will ring at 9:35am. See you in the morning!

Tomorrow Junior High Basketball will start at 11 am, followed by High School basketball. The Concession Stand will be serving: stuffed sopaipilla meal which includes rice and smothered with green chili, drink, and dessert.

It was a wonderful night on Thursday for the FFA members who visited the Denver Zoo Lights. The weather was not extremely cold which allowed for the enjoyment of the beautiful light displays.

First grade and fifth grade had an enjoyable week together building gingerbread houses. We worked on measurement and team building.
Our 5th Grade Class brought in the most quarters for the competition. Today they were able to take the check to Rising Up! We celebrated as a class as Mr. Edson took us to Home Plate!

Our Quarters for Quarters competition raised $467.43 with the elementary raising $327.75!
Tomorrow we will be celebrating this amazing fundraiser beginning at 12:40! Our Freshmen will be taking on the 8th grade in a friendly game of basketball. The winner of that game will then take on our staff.
Elementary will begin at 2:15 when the 5th grade students will challenge the 1st grade students to a game of volleyball. The winner of this game will also get a chance to play the staff in volleyball.
Door prizes will be awarded throughout the afternoon. Students must be present to win.
