Weldon Valley has completed their first week of Kids Heart Challenge! The kids have been working hard jumping rope and learning about our hearts.
We are off to a great start, the kids have raised $1,349 so far...❤️
We worked on setting goals for healthy habits today as well!

7th grade math students matching with others who solved one step inequalities.
"Do You Want to Build a Snowman?"
English 1 students built miniature snowmen after using textual support and analyzing the symbolism of the snowman in Harper Lee's novel, To Kill a Mockingbird.
Boone Norris demonstrated CPR for the GT students. The elementary students participated in a unit on body systems. The CPR presentation was the culmination of that unit. It was also the introduction of a similar unit for the junior high students. Thanks Mr. Norris!

Weldon Valley will be participating in the Kids Heart Challenge and we have accepted the #KHCslimeColorado challenge!! Students that raise $100 for The American Heart Association will get to SLIME Coach Zini OR Mr. Bauman during a fun slime celebration.
PLUS, we are joining the statewide competition to get our school an EPIC HEART HEALTHY INFLATABLE ACTIVITY FOR OUR FIELD DAY!!! The school in Colorado that Hs the MOST likes on the post below will win!

Colorado State Patrol officers visited the classroom Thursday. Corporal Nelson and Trooper Beaverson presented career information on CSP. They also invited juniors to sign up for the Colorado State Patrol Youth Academy. This week-long opportunity runs July 19-25, 2020. Applications are due March 22, 2020.
