Due to the current COVID issues, we have been forced to cancel the Junior High and High School football games for the next two weeks. Unfortunately for the Junior High students, this will end the football season. We are hoping to be able to schedule one more High School football game for week 7 of the season. More info will follow once we arrange the details of this game. Please let me know if you have any questions. Gedson@weldonvalley.org
Thanks

Good evening! Weldon Valley RE-20J will be operating under the red phase of our COVID-19 plan starting tomorrow, November 4, 2020 due to multiple positive COVID-19 tests within our school community. The results of the tests were shared with us this afternoon. Therefore, all learning activities will take place at home under the direction of the student’s teachers beginning tomorrow. We anticipate that the District will be under the red phase until December 1.
Time schedules for students in grades 7-12 have been discussed with the students, and teachers will communicate directly with the students concerning time periods that they will be required to be in attendance. Parents and students in grades K-6 will be notified by their teachers concerning their schedules.
Students needing a computer or hotspot to facilitate learning will be able to pick these items up at the school beginning on Monday, November 9 at 10:00 a.m. Parents were asked earlier in the school year to notify the school in advance if they needed a computer or hotspot in the case that the District went into remote learning. In addition, teachers have recently asked for students in need of a computer or hotspot and that information has been shared with us.
Learning packets for elementary grades will be delivered on Monday, November 9. Those packets will need to be completed and ready for pickup on Thursday, November 12 at which time they will receive materials for the following week.
Lunches will be delivered starting on Monday, November 9. Lunches are free, however, parents need to call the school office before 9 a.m. to reserve your lunches.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your student’s teachers by email or class dojo.
Thank you for your patience and understanding and have a good evening.
