Good news for those considering the trip to Boston and Salem as the early enrollment discount offer has been extended until May 15th. This $200 discount makes this trip even more affordable as Weldon Valley will be embarking on an educational adventure to Boston, Salem, and Plymouth. This journey starts in the summer of 2025 and this marks the 250th anniversary of the start of the American Revolution. What a great place to be that summer as we'll be visiting the Revolutionary battlefields of Concord and Lexington. Salem is on tap for a witchingly good time as is Plymouth Colony for an experience that is a step back in time. Check out this link below for more travel details and for information on how to sign up for the edventure (my new word, Education and Adventure) of a lifetime during this historical anniversary of our nation's proud history. Everyone is invited to participate including parents and community members. https://secure.passports.com/document/2556C7CAACD9/

Congratulations to our junior high students that participated at the regional National History Day competition at UNC on 3-8-24. It was another successful event as Weldon Valley students competed against schools from all of NE Colorado. In the junior division papers it was a clean sweep for our students as they earned 1st, 2nd , and 3rd place. Congratulations to Thea who is the regional champion! Thea, Seyda, and Todd will be representing our school at the state National History Day in late April. This year for the first time we also had a contestant in the Website category and Becky was the second place winner. Becky will also be representing our school at state in the Website division. Congratulations to all of our students!

Parent Teacher Conferences are coming up March 7th! Please plan on penciling us in your calendar between 4-8pm! Making time to stop by has such a positive impact on your student's education and reminds them we are all a team working together for their success! These will be a quick check-in, so please minimize your visits to 10 minutes with each teacher! We also ask teachers to take their last conference at 7:45 to ensure we can wrap things up by 8pm! - If you feel you need more time to discuss things with your student's teachers, we are always willing to make arrangements for additional time to meet! See you next week!
