On Wednesday the 20th, FFA members shared their knowledge over their livestock projects and farm equipment to the elementary students in the Ag in the Classroom Event.

Weldon Valley Drama Club Presents: The Little Mermaid! Tickets on sale at the office starting Monday, March 25th through April 11th. Tickets can only be purchased at the office, in person from 8:30am-4:30pm, there will be no "will call" seating available. All tickets must be paid in full before seat selection is chosen. Show times are Thursday April 18th & Friday April 19th at 5pm. This show includes dinner, dessert, and entertainment! Prices are $15-$20 per ticket depending on seating. Saturday's show is April 20th, at 1:00pm with tickets priced at $10 per ticket! This show includes general seating, light refreshments, and entertainment. Purchase of front section seating is limited to one show and cannot be purchased for multiple nights.

Weldon Valley Preschool is now accepting applications for the 2024-2025 school year. 4 year old's and children who will be 3 by June 15th, 2024 may apply. Out-of-District students are welcome. This journey starts in the summer of 2025 and this marks the 250th anniversary of the start of the American Revolution. What a great place to be that summer as we'll be visiting the Revolutionary battlefields of Concord and Lexington. Salem is on tap for a witchingly good time as is Plymouth Colony for an experience that is a step back in time.

Congratulations to our junior high students that participated at the regional National History Day competition at UNC on 3-8-24. It was another successful event as Weldon Valley students competed against schools from all of NE Colorado. In the junior division papers it was a clean sweep for our students as they earned 1st, 2nd , and 3rd place. Congratulations to Thea who is the regional champion! Thea, Seyda, and Todd will be representing our school at the state National History Day in late April. This year for the first time we also had a contestant in the Website category and Becky was the second place winner. Becky will also be representing our school at state in the Website division. Congratulations to all of our students!

Wiggins asked if we could move the game the week to Wednesday due to the fact that they are playing in the state basketball tournament on Thursday. The games will now be played on Wednesday at 3:00 and 5:00 in Wiggins. They bus will leave at 1:30 on Wednesday. Thanks
Nine sophomores attended CTE Day at MCC last Wednesday. The students toured the campus and visited with staff about classes offered at MCC. They learn about careers in the following areas, Auto Service, Auto Collision, Business, Education, Electrical, Health Care Careers, Multimedia, and Radiology. CTE classes prepare students for their future careers. Many CTE programs offer industry-recognized certifications.
