Weldon Valley's Annual Field Day is next week!
Please join us on Thursday, May 2nd at 10am for a day of fun in the sun! If you plan on having lunch with us, please call and let us know by Tuesday the 30th, so we can plan accordingly!

It was a beautiful day for a trike-a-thon. K-5 grade came out to cheer on the littlest Warriors as they helped raise money for St. Jude’s. The St. Jude Trike-A-Thon is a fun and educational way to teach children how to make a difference for St. Jude kids battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases. St. Jude Trike-A-Thon seeks to energize and encourage participants to grow their empathy skills while also learning trike and riding toy safety. Several of the preschool students rode for over 45 minutes 👏 👏 👏 Thank you Ms. Cindy for organizing such an amazing event and Luke Makings for getting the race started. The race was also in memory of Rebecca Bond. It was a great day to be a Warrior.

We just got word, the Junior High Track team will NOT back it back to the school in time to catch the buses home, please check the Band App for more information.
THANKS!

Congratulations to two exceptional members of our Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter, Camron Rodriguez and Scarlette Thomas-Groves. Camron and Scarlette are April FBLA members of the month!
Camron has been an active FBLA member for the past four years. Throughout his FBLA journey, Camron has taken on various roles, demonstrating his commitment to our organization. Recently, Camron represented our chapter at the State Leadership Conference, held at the Gaylord Rockies Resort. He participated in the Public Policy category, showcasing his knowledge and skills. Camron currently serves as the President of FBLA, a position he holds with immense pride. Camron has been instrumental in the success of our WV Mart T-shirt business. He has helped the business in many different roles, including designing new heat transfer patterns for our merchandise, checking logos for correct sizes, organizing orders, and so much more. Camron is also an active member of the Student Council, Drama Club, and President of FFA. In the fall, Camron will attend Trinidad State College, where he will complete the Line Technician Program. Scarlette joined FBLA this year and has already made a significant impact. Scarlette holds the position of Parliamentary Officer within our chapter. Scarlette is an engaged student in the Operations/Entrepreneurship class. She actively contributes to tasks such as pressing shirts and designing. Her attention to detail and knowledge of procedures in the classroom has helped tremendously. At the district conference, Scarlette secured first place in the Introduction to Parliamentary Procedures category, then represented us at the state FBLA conference at the Gaylord of the Rockies Resort, where she ranked among the top ten in Parliamentary Procedures. Scarlette is also part of the Student Council, a member of the National Honor Society, and participates in the Drama Club.

The fourth grade class was fortunate enough to have Val Ranum from Westminster who brought the Olympic torch she carried in 1996. She gave the history of the Olympics and torch relay. The importance is not in the winning but in the efforts and participation.
