Get To Know Mr. O!

Magandang araw! Maayong adlaw! Good day!

I am Mr. Jamaal Omamalin, known to my students as "Mr. O." I teach High School Social Studies, and Junior High Writing. I am from the Philippines. I have been an educator for a total of 8 years, with S.Y. 25-26 as my 9th year teaching. I have taught for 5 years in the Philippines and 4 years in the United States—with 2 years teaching in the Valley!

I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education (major in Social Studies) and also have a Master's in Anthropology. I have worked on research papers focusing on topics like vanishing traditional trades, religious practices, and experiences of indigenous groups.

I have a son, Zeke Leandre, who is a passionate Weldon Valley Warrior, and another boy coming soon—who will be a Weldon Valley Warrior.

I belong to a big family of educators spanning 3 generations; hence, education has always been a strong vocation for me. I have always been a strong believer in the indispensable value of quality universal education, in that education is essential to greater personal and academic opportunities and success—education for life, of life, and as life.

I look forward to strong partnerships with you—our stakeholders—and I look further forward to engaging and working with your children towards success!

Maraming salamat! Daghang salamat! Thank you!
