I honestly consider myself one of the more fortunate people on earth and here’s why: I am the social studies teacher at Weldon Valley high school. My path to here has been interesting and challenging beginning with graduation from Estes Park high after which I began my first career of 30 years in the sign business.  During this career I experienced all aspects from floor sweeping to vice-president of one of the largest firms in the U.S. (this allowed me to put myself through college and receive two degrees from C.U.). Around the year 2000 many personal changes occured for me, not the least of which was selling my business and returning to Metro State to add teaching to my resume. I was then teaching in inner cities schools of Denver when the best thing happened – my department lost funding and a co-teacher knew a principal in Weldona…as they say, here I am!
